Wolf Tamer is a revamped and extended story that was previously under Avery Song's other name, Yumoyori Wilson. I really enjoyed this revamped/extended version and I am excited to see what is going to happen next as the story progresses. This story had me feeling so many emotions throughout it. I smiled, I laughed, I got angry, and I cried as parts where revealed, and those parts that are revealed will absolutely shock and floor you. Just a fair warning that if you do not want spoilers, my review not be the one for you to read.In Wolf Tamer, Harper is just five years old when hunter's come for her and her family, although her family that is killed is not who she thinks they are. Ian finds her in his wolf form, Wolfie, and she is brought to the sanctuary where she is eventually adopted by Dolly and Sam after many unsuccessful attempts at finding her a foster home that is good for her. At the sanctuary, she meets Carter, Levi, Damien, Hayden, and Heston, but they are just wolves to her at the time since she is not supposed to know that they can change into their human forms. Their first initial meeting had me smiling and laughing when Harper popped Carter on his nose and put him in his place after Muffin, Harper's kitten, ran into the scene and slapped his nose.As the story progresses, Ian and Harper grow closer together over the years, and at age 12 and 14 they share their first kiss. This is not necessarily good because Carter sees and takes off because Harper is his fated mate and he should have had that moment with her first, not Ian. Carter ends up injured and ends up having to take Harper's memories of him and the rest of the pack to protect them all. Ian and Harper end up mating at 16, which is also a huge no and slap in the face to Carter, and they end up keeping it a secret which will have consequences later in the story. At first I liked Ian, but once Carter and Harper have their scene in the woods near the end of the book and Carter explains his side and exactly how much Ian has messed up, my opinion of him has changed. Ian has a lot of apologizing to do not only to Carter but to the rest of the pack as well. Honestly, I wouldn't mind at all if Carter and the rest of the guys end up getting more time with Harper in the next book than Ian. Actually, I would prefer it if they did because Ian knew better and needs to learn that there are consequences to his actions. Besides, he has been with Harper for a long time while Carter and the rest barely got any time with her at all. It's only fair. I also would enjoy more of the guy's POV in the next book as well if possible.One of my favorite scenes in this book was when Kira stood up to the 'investors' and revealed just how powerful she was in the community and exactly what was going to happen if these 'investors' got a hold of the town. Another favorite was the scene in the woods and afterwards between Carter and Harper, even though I legit cried along with Carter and Harper as Carter broke down and explained exactly why he was so hurt and angry. I also loved the confrontation between Carter and Ian when Carter revealed to Ian that he was Harper's mate to. Last but not least, I absolutely cheered when Harper revealed to Sam who actually bought the sanctuary as well as Dolly's part in the grand scheme of things. Sam and Rogan both got what they deserved at the end and I could not be happier.That ending though had me screaming for more. I need the next book NOW! I need to know that Harper survives and just what being a Wolf Seeker will entail while she rises to her rightful throne. Avery Song is an author that knows how to craft a story that lives in the readers mind. Due to this the reader becomes invested in the characters they are reading about. Brace yourself for a wild ride when you read this story. This is a book filled with suspense, wonder and danger. Although this is a rewritten work of Avery Song, I have to say she added a depth and richness to the story as it stands now, filled with complex and engaging cast of characters. This book is simply stunning. There’s romance, magic, adventure, and magic that flows through out the storyline. The characters were easy to relate to and understand. To me it felt as though the cast of characters became my friends throughout the story. As the story developed I felt as though I grew closer to the main characters as if I was living the intrigues and adventures with them. I can’t wait for more.
